The odds of making a hole-in-one in golf are as follows:

For the average golfer, the odds are approximately 1 in 12,500.
For PGA Tour players, the odds improve to about 1 in 2,500.
A hole-in-one occurs roughly once every 3,500 golf rounds.
Only 1-2% of golfers score a hole-in-one during a year.
In a field of 100 amateurs on a course with four par-3 holes, there is a 1 in 32 chance that someone will make an ace during that event.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Maximum of 100 entrants.
Entry fee: £11.50 per person.
The Hole-in-One challenge will take place on the 18th hole.
All shots played from the 18th tee will be recorded on camera, positioned at the green, and officially adjudicated.
No refunds on entries.

The small print:

1 Absolutely no practice shots or “Mulligans” are allowed. Once you Tee o􀆯 that
is your sole entry shot on each prize hole.
2 The only qualifying shot for the “Hole in One” prize on each hole is to be taken
between 9am and 9pm on the 6th June 2025 at Falmouth Golf Club on the 18th
Hole.
3 Tee off is from the White Tee only for the 18th hole to qualify.
4 The prize value of the BMW Car is capped at £36,500, you can select a new
car with Ocean BMW, up to this total value including all taxes and on the road
costs. There is no alternative or partial cash payment as part of this prize.
5 The car displayed on the course is an example of the type of car you could
win but is not the specific prize for this competition.
6 There will be a delivery time for the car dependent on BMW’s normal delivery
and production schedules which will be advised to the winner post
competition.
7 Any disputes on whether you have made a “Hole in One” will be decided on
by the invigilators on the day and their decisions are final.
8 All contestants must be amateurs and not Golf Professionals in any capacity
to qualify.
9 Only the 18th hole is applicable to this “Hole in One” prize for the BMW car
10 There are additional cash prizes for the 2nd, 4th and 7th Par 3 holes dependent
on the hole distances of between £250 and £1,500 as published on the day.
The payment will be made by the Insurers, “National Hole in One” once
validated.
11 There will be an official witness nominated by Falmouth Golf Club who will
invigilate on the day to confirm any winner.
12 On the additional holes 2,4 and 7 where there is a cash prize any winner must
be accompanied by at least one playing partner to validate any claim.
13 There can be multiple winners of the “Hole in One” and the additional cash
prizes on the other three holes.
14 The winners claim must be accepted by the National Hole in One
Underwriters which will be submitted once the contest has concluded.
15 Falmouth Golf Club will not be liable for any disputed claims as the contract
is between the entrant and the Underwriters.
16 The number of entrants is limited to 100.
